Hydrographic survey

In South-East Europe, Plovput is the pioneer in the application of new technologies in hydrographic surveys. Annually more than 550 km of international inland waterways has been mapped in the Republic of Serbia. Plovput is equipped with “single-beam” and “multi-beam” sonars for quick and efficient hydrographic surveying.

A single-beam sonar is used for surveying of cross-sections of the riverbed. This easily transportable sonar can be installed on boats whose dimensions allow work in difficultly accessible parts of the river bed.

A multi-beam sonar is mounted on the boat that operates along the entire course of the Danube, Sava and Tisza rivers. The data processed from a multi-beam sonar results in 3D models of the river bed, digital situation plans and other required outlines that are used for further analysis and planning.
