International Commission for the Protection of the Danube River (ICPDR) gathers 13 countries of Danube region. Its mission is to promote and coordinate sustainable water management, including protection, improvement and rational use of water for the benefit of Danube countries and its inhabitants. Former Federal Republic of Yugoslavia signed the Convention on Protection of the Danube River on 30th of January 2003, and became member of the Commission on the 19th of August the same year.
